Review by hotel critic
The location is a real gem-central yet tucked away on a quiet street, perfect for someone like me who appreciates a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by a welcome package featuring Prosecco, chocolates, and even a bottle of milk in the fridge. It added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The living space was modern and well-kept, with a cozy sitting area and a dining table where we could enjoy meals at our leisure. Equipped with a washing machine, electric kettle, and a decent selection of kitchenware, we found everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The flat-screen TV was a nice bonus for some evening relaxation, and the free Wi-Fi kept us connected. The bathroom was stocked with complimentary toiletries, and the shower pressure was commendable. Joe, the host, was responsive and genuinely helpful, addressing any minor concerns we had without a hitch. For a balanced mix of comfort and value, I'd certainly consider returning to this hidden gem in Carlisle.
